Spinespur Contest Update #3

Hello everybody, 2CE here, just wanted to give you a little bit of a head's up on the Spinespur Contest models.  Got a pretty good amount of work done on the "big three" tonight, so I figured I'd show you all what you might be winning!

First we'll start with the Cerebeast. RobH had suggested making him an albino, so that's the direction he's going.  I think the skin came up a bit darker than I wanted... I may go back and fade it a little if I have time.  The mouths are not done yet, as well as any carnage/gore that may wind up on the model.

The Caretaker is almost finished.... just needs a little bit of work on the face and the lantern, possibly some more highlighting on the leathers.  All in all I'm very happy with how this model came out. I wanted to aim for "striking in neutral tones" and feel that has been accomplished well. There will be a good amount of weathering and dirt added to the model (especially the trenchcoat).

And then there's this guy.... covered most of the "skin" of the original model with sand to roughen up the texture, several layers of browns, and then three types of static grass as well as leaves.  He's really, really impressive in person.  I'm sorry I don't have a better picture or more pictures of him yet.... the coarse texture of the skin means my auto-focus macro lens simply couldn't find a spot to focus on! I literally got one shot out of twelve to work.  I might have to get a real photographer to do this one.

So... would you like to have these models?  It's easy! Support the Spinespur Kickstarter with a minimum of a $65 pledge, and then go read this article and comment with the name you used on the kickstarter. It's that easy. Caretaker, Grave Golem, the Cerebeast, and 8-10 thugs can be yours just like that!

So, until tomorrow everyone....
