At times, they have been clearly pawns of the Dark Legion and at others the waters more murky. In this iteration, however, Cybertronic are clearly a human corporation (well kind of) and there are no ties to the Dark Legion. Cybertronic have a level of technology unheard of for ages. A point that brings them into conflict with the Brotherhood all the time. But it's also a sticking point for the Dark Symmetry. You see the first way the Dark Symmetry attacks humnaity is by making humanity's technology fight against them. Cybertronic has developed a form of technology that isn't corrupted by the Dark Symmetry. And they want to know why.
