Breaking News: You Guys are AWESOME!

So, just about 24 hours ago I posted that two kickstarters we've been following were trending a little short. Boy oh boy, did you guys ever step up to the plate!

Spinespur was sitting $669 short of their $13k stretch goal with less than 24 hours to go.  As of 8:45 tonight the Kickstarter ended at $13,835!  That's over $1,500 in one day.  This means not only does a very deserving game get a second chance at life, but also everyone who pledged a minimum of $65 receives a second free model! (Also, if you pledged $65 or more, make sure you sign up for the contest.)

Walter Anstiss at Commission Figurines launched a kickstarter to take his simply stunning 15mm and 20mm terrain pieces up to 28mm scale.  As of yesterday he was £739 short with only 58 hours to go.  I put out the call to arms, and you guys delivered! Not only did Walter's Kickstarter make its fund amount, he's only £89 short of his first stretch goal! Excellent job! Walter sent me this message:

"You're magic. Thank you again. You have been a great support. Kindest regards, Walt"

That really was addressed to each of you.  I'm just a guy with a digital soapbox. You are the ones that brought him £1,200 spread over 21 pledges in less than a day!  You'll hear us @ LXG go into the "Social Contract of Gaming" from time to time, and this was an example of it:  Companies producing materials in the "by wargamers, for wargamers, with wargamers" mindset.  Wargamers and Hobbyists recognizing the value of those companies- not in tons of models, but in quality products fairly priced. That is how capitalism is supposed to work: you show your favor or disfavor of a company's business practices with your wallet, and in the end the companies we collectively choose to support will thrive, while the companies we collectively choose not to support will go by the wayside.

From Bob at Comfy Chair Games, from Walter at Commission Figurines, and from us at LXG... thank you.  I"ll see you on the other side of the table.

The Second Class Elitist.
